Parking near the airport

What are the options for parking near the airport?

      The Missoula airport charges a rate of $8 for long-term parking, and $11 for short-term parking.  They have a weekly rate of $48/week.  Short-term parking is quite convenient, and a short walk from the baggage claim.  Long-term parking is usually very full, and can end up being quite a haul.

      The other options for parking are local hotels near the airport.  You would pay the nightly rate of $100 and up for entire stay, and then use their shuttle service to get to and from the airport.  So you basically pay for a hotel room you are not staying in, which at $100 a night is not very cost efficient.  Plus, you have to rely on taking their shuttle.  

      The next option is to rent a spot at a number of storage facilities around the airport.  The going rate for a 10x20 outdoor spot is around $38-$40.  For this option you would take a cab or a shuttle between the storage facility and the airport.  The average cost of the cab or shuttle would be $15-$20 each way.  So you would end up spending around $80.  The downside to this option for some is taking the cab or the shuttle, and not having your car.
